My first Model Railroad Layout

I've always wanted to build a Model Railroad Layout but didn't have the space to construct a large "O" or "HO" scale layout. I found that "N" scale was just right. My layout is 4ft x 6ft and represents the FICTITIOUS Rocky Mountain mining community of Magnolia during the 1950"s. After a year of work it has become my little "N"pire.

After much planning I finally got enough courage to get going on my layout and Start The Construction. Working steadily for over a year the town of Magnolia started to take shape and take on a life of its own. I built store bought building kits at first, then decided to build structures from real buildings. I had pictures from old Colorado ghost towns that I wanted to use as models for my structures on the layout. I knew it would take longer but felt there would be a real sense of accomplishment when the buildings were done if they were Scratch Built.
